About Me

After growing up in Lawrenceville, Georgia and living for more than a year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, I moved with my family to Cumming, Georgia in 1979 where I attended Forsyth County High School (now Forsyth Central). I am married to my high school sweetheart, the former Lynn McGriff, and we have three sons, Matt (born January 18, 1993), Rob (born November 24, 1994) and Drew (born February 12, 2003).

I earned an undergraduate degree in political science (1987) and a law degree (1991) from the University of Georgia. I began my legal career with Andersen, Davidson & Tate, P.C. in Lawrenceville, Georgia, working there for two-and-a-half years. I spent the next four years with Cushing, Morris, Armbruster & Jones, LLP in Atlanta, Georgia prior to forming Larry C. Oldham, P.C. in January of 1998 and opening my office in Cumming.

While my law practice and family take up most of my available time, I have coached all three of my sons and hundreds of other kids in youth sports (primarily basketball and baseball) in Forsyth County since 1997. In addition to coaching, I have been involved in the leadership of a number of youth sports organizations, including some that I have organized and operated myself. I am a firm believer in being active in the community, especially with our young people, and strive to do so whenever possible.

My recreational interests include golf, fishing and travel and I am always looking for new opportunities and challenges in the business world.
